Managing Incident Roles Through Slack

Overview

You can manage incident roles direct in Slack. However you need to have the Slack integration set up first. If you do not please head over to Slack > Installation to get started.

Managing in Slack

Upon any new incident creation. The incident summary will provide you with a Manage all roles button where you can edit and assign users to your Incident Roles. There will also be your first 2 Incident roles with users dropdowns that you can assign/unassign users through.

As the incident progresses the incident summary might be to too far away to scroll to. You can leverage the /incident assign command to bring up the same manage roles dialog.
